Our Role: We were one of the early investors in the company and, hence, held a pivotal role in their strategic planning processes and product designing. At present, RESTOLABS powers 200 odd restaurants across the world. Their platform is both web and mobile-based.

About: They are technology providers for food ordering and customer management platforms used by restaurants and food portals. They built their technology on cutting-edge tools like Angular, Ionic, Drupal, and MySQL.

Sector: Community Co-Working Space

Our Role: One of the early investors.

About: They are a community co-working space comprising a covered area of around 8000 sq. ft. The venture began in August 2015.

The standout feature of this co-working space is the open area. 50% of the total area is an open space left intentionally for collaborative activities (Green areas, TT room, lounge, etc.).

Unboxed aims at promoting hyper-local businesses/activities. A classic example of this is the launch of ‘OpenScreen,’ where few people with diverse backgrounds get invites to watch an indie movie triggering a healthy debate post-screening. This activity facilitates a free flow of discussion.

Another initiative that Unboxed is working on is Democratizing Art. It allows artists to display their crafts in our space at zero cost, and all the art sales profit goes directly to the artist. The advantage of this is the added aesthetic flavor to the co-working space. It simultaneously facilitates the sale of fine art by talented artists whose work gets eclipsed by the more notable ones whose overpriced art sells more for their signature despite the lack of artistic appeal. Another potential use of the space, especially on weekends, is being planned to host a local farmers’ market.

Our Role: One of the primary investors to seed fund the venture.

About: InMotion is a social enterprise working towards uplifting the auto-rickshaw drivers by their intervention for financial inclusion, healthcare, and education. The pilot project began in August 2015 with the proper installation of cash deposit kiosks strategically at selected Delhi metro stations where auto drivers usually congregate.

About: It is a boutique consulting company focusing on open source technologies and solutions engaged in Mobility and Cloud.

About: This is a joint venture between Nano and Intellisoft to launch a Taxi-Hailing Service. Nano is a venture promoted by the ex-CTO of Bhutan Telecom.

About: EAZYSCRIPTS is a Chicago-based healthcare start-up. Their mobile platform manages prescription refills, medical benefits, price transparency, and pre-authorization. This tool is one of the first platforms to provide price adjudication at the point of prescription.

About: Mindpiper deals with affordable mental healthcare focusing on the BPO population of India. It intends to find innovative ways of removing adverse effects caused by untreated mental illness. The pilot project kicked off in 2017.

About: Nayasa is an attempt to create a discovery portal that connects people who want to consume holistic food with people who want to produce it in India.

One major challenge with holistic food production in India is the high cost of relying on third-party distributors. It increases costs and reduces profits for producers. Nayasa's goal is to reduce this dependency by establishing a direct connection between producers and consumers.

We believe this approach will make holistic food more affordable and promote transparency in the food production and supply chain.

About: Intelli-Organics has progressed at an unprecedentedly slower pace but has successfully held up a small farm share practice in Odisha over a two-acre piece of land. It primarily focuses on promoting indigenous seeds and sustainable agricultural practices. A noteworthy mention would be the first year of its paddy production. The cost-per-kg was Rupees 65, whereas Rupees 85 for hybrid organic rice in retail outlets. It proved our theory right; cutting non-value-added chains can help in the formation of better practices to produce clean food and compete with market rates.
